Penn Looks To Ink History

This Saturday night B.J. Penn is looking to do what only Randy Couture has been able to do in the UFC, win two world titles in 2 different weight classes. B.J. Penn has fought for the light heavy weight title twice and has come up short, the third time maybe the charm; as he faces Joe Stevenson, possibly the toughest test the Hawaiian has ever faced at 155 pounds.

This is sort of a crossroads or last call type of shot, if he fails he will probably become a trial horse for younger fighters. B.J. Penn had some insight on his career and what this fight means to him.“This fight is huge." “Joe Stevenson’s a great opponent. He’s got so many weapons, so many tools he brings into this fight and this is the most important fight of my life.

“I know people say it every single time, but without a doubt if I win this fight, I’ll become the guy who had two titles in two divisions and I’m already thinking about this fight all the time. This is so important to me.” To make sure that fans get there money's worth he had this to say.“People aren’t paying money to watch me and Joe Stevenson fight five rounds and jab each other to death. No one wants to see that. This is the Ultimate Fighting Championship, somebody wants to see somebody go down and that’s what this is going to be on Jan. 19.” We will all have to tune in to UFC:80 RAPID FIRE and see what is going to happen.
