A New York Bad Ass In Japan?

Phil " New York Badass" Baroni has been around this block a couple of times. Baroni has been in various organizations such as the UFC, EFC, Pride and EliteXc to name a few, but his latest jump will be from North America to Asia as he will be fighting under a new promotional banner.A fledgling Japanese mixed martial arts promotion company known as World Victory Road. I'm not sure if he is looking to be a poster boy for an organization to see if they will build a stable around him, or he just likes the idea of not having long term contracts with organizations.

The fight marks Baroni’s return to competition following a six-month suspension due to a positive drug test for Boldenone following his June 22 Strikeforce bout against Frank Shamrock. He became eligible to regain his license in California on Dec. 22. The fight is the first announced bout for World Victory Road’s debut event.
