Live From MGM

This Saturday live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Two undefeated stars will go 12 hard rounds(or for as long as the fight lasts) for the welterweight title, much more is at stake besides the title. Floyd Mayweather a.k.a. money Mayweather pound-for-pound ranking is on the line and probably boasting rights to the greatest fighter on the planet. The styles make for a very exciting clash between a counter punching, defense oriented, ring technician and an all out non-stop action pressure fighter in Ricky Hatton. Floyd can make you miss at will and make you pay for those mistakes. You can do everything right and he will still make you pay because he is born with natural god given talent. Ricky Hatton is a different case scenario than what Floyd is used too. Rick Hatton won a very close controversial decision or gift decision if you will depending on how you viewed the fight against Louis Collazo a very skilled slick and crafty southpaw. That was s fight in which he knew nothing about Collazo and was making his fist trip 7 ponds north of where he was dominating. This fight however Ricky seems to be in great shape and seems just like Mayweather; They never seem to tire.
So who's 0 will go. If i were a betting man the general consensus would be to place my money on Floyd Mayweather for a 12 round decision. However! this is a fight where Floyd will be forced to do more fighting than we are used to seeing. There always comes a point in time where shear god given talent and athleticism can't bail you out ,and it comes down to will power, guts and who wants it more. I can also see a scenario in which Hatton stops Floyd by late TKO. This is boxing and anything can happen. Regardless of who wins i think we will all get our moneys worth. This will cap off a spectacular 2007. What a year for boxing.
