On the 12 he will face his toughest date to challenge in Jeff Curran when he gets it on with him for the feather weight title.Since his last title defense in June Faber has been waiting for a worthy opponent who deserves a shot.
Faber had this to say when asked is Curran his toughest test to date. "I've had some pretty tough opponents, so i wouldn't say for sure that he is, but he's definitely up there. I have had some pretty tough opponents but for some reason i seem to make them look not so tough."
Faber has also stated that he has not had this long a layoff in between fights in a long time, but he says that he his confident and ready for anything that Curran will bring.
" When you have such an active schedule like i do, you don't get to look at things like putting on weight, actively making sure that i'm at peak level. I've had a really long break so i have to focus on individual parts of my game,not only the MMA side, my hands and some jiu-jitsu technique and working on building size.
"It's going to be one of the most exciting fights in MMA history and I will be victorious!"
