Curran Ready to Hang 10

Jeff Curran is a very typical and active fighter. He has built his entire career from the ground on up. He has never had any hand outs, breaks or any favors done for him. He has earned everything that he has ever accomplished.

This week on Wednesday night he may be able to reach the pinnacle of his career if he can get by Urijah Faber for the World Extreme Cage fighting 145 pound divisional belt. Curran returned back to the sport after nearly a five year hiatus. He signed a exclusive 4 fight deal with Stephen Ledbetter of Hardcore's Gym. In his first fight he earned a unanimous decision victory.

He has spent some time in Minnesota training with former Ultimate Fighting Championship title holder Sean Shrek (who was recently stripped of his title for testing positive to a banned substance) to prepare for this fight. He also trained with his regular partners Bart Palaszewski, Nate Mohr, Mike Stumf, Russ Janca and Dr. Doug Mango. Holding a black belt in Brazilian jiu- jitsu under Pedro Sauer, he has fine tuned his striking game by working with Doug Mango. This Wednesday nights fight is scheduled for five minute rounds, neither fighter has been past three rounds in their respective careers.
