Jacobs Looks Good In Debut

Brooklyns own Daniel"Million Dollar"Jacobs introduced his self to the world of professional boxing in an untelevised bout on the under card of the Mayweather vs Hatton fight. He disposed of Jose Turado in 29 seconds of the opening round, putting his record at a 1-0 1KO. Jacobs-a four time Daily News Golden Glove champion. Jacobs had very little trouble adapting to the pro style.

Following the opening bell with stiff hard jabs and graceful footwork, Jacobs threw a textbook left hook with such speed and fluidity that it made Turado's fall to the canvas look like it was in slow motion.Jacobs appears to have a very bright future, but his career has had it's stumbling blocks. After dominating to win his fourth consecutive Golden Gloves title last winter, Jacobs had plans on winning a gold medal. That dream came to an end in August when Jacobs dropped a decision to California's Shawn Estrada in the finals of the U.S. Olympic team trials in Houston."

I was disappointed for about two weeks, but since then I switched my mindset over to the next level." Jacobs is already working with Mayweather's business advisor Al Haymon. " This is unheard of, starting on such a big card, but i got with the right people and it's all gone hand in hand."According to Victor Roundtree Jacobs co- trainer.

" His debut went just as planned, we wanted to get in there and get out of there, This was his first time without headgear." " He did the right thing he kept his composure."Jacob and his team hope to keep that momentum going with a spot on next months undercard of fellow Brooklynite Paulie Malignaggi, who will be defending his IBF title in Atlantic City.
